Field Status & Weather Conditions

Rainy Weather Conditions

On weekdays the Pleasanton weather line and field status web page are the official sources for field status in Pleasanton.  The City of Pleasanton periodically keeps the weather status up to date on weekdays.  If the fields are open in Pleasanton the games will be played. You can find out the status of the Pleasanton fields one of two ways.

On weekends the field status will be posted on the PGSL Home Page.  Do not use the Pleasanton weather line or field status website for weekend field status.

High Heat Weather Conditions

When the temperatures rise, PGSL will monitor the anticipated start times, and make a judgement call on if there will be games or not.  When the temps put us in the Caution buckets, and we decided to move forward for the day, please use caution, give extra breaks, and have them drink a lot of water.  Anyone who is not comfortable playing in the heat should stay home, without fear or retribution.

If the heat index falls into the Danger or Extreme Danger areas, all games and practices will be cancelled.

Below is just some good information on the difference between Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke.

Air Quality Weather Condition

When there is smoke in the air, we turn to AirNow.Gov to make the decision to cancel games.  This is the site we use, not our cell phones, or other weather apps.  Please keep in mind that sometimes it may look worse than it is.  Again, anyone who is not comfortable playing should stay home, without fear of retribution.

If the AQI is over 150, all games and practices are cancelled.
